Most local businesses treat social media as a box to tick, post twice in one week and then stop for two months. The goal here isn’t a bigger number next to your name. It’s that when someone checks you out before calling — and they do check — what they find makes them call.
Free, no contract, no sales pressure. In English or Spanish.
Be honest about the mechanism. For most local businesses, social media is not primarily a discovery channel — very few people find a plumber by scrolling Instagram. What it is, reliably, is the place people go to check whether you’re real before they commit. A feed with recent posts, actual photos of your work, and replies to comments answers a question the customer is quietly asking: are these people still in business and do they seem competent?
There’s a second job it does well: staying present with people who already know you. Past customers, neighbours, the person who took your card six months ago. That audience is small and unglamorous, and it produces repeat work and referrals more consistently than chasing strangers ever will.
A steady rhythm you could sustain, written to sound like your business rather than like an agency template. Consistency matters more than volume.
Photos of actual jobs, actual staff, actual food, actual results. Stock imagery is visible from a mile away and quietly costs you trust.
Comments and DMs are where enquiries hide. A question left unanswered for four days is a customer who called the next business.
Not the same caption run through a translator — wording that works in each, written by people who speak both.
Hours, location, services, a link that goes somewhere useful. Profiles are forms and most businesses leave half of them blank.
Profile visits, link clicks, DMs, saves. Follower count is the number that flatters you and tells you the least.
Someone who found you on Google will look at your profile before calling. An active feed removes a doubt you never knew was costing you jobs.
Staying visible to people who already like you is the cheapest work in marketing, and almost nobody does it deliberately.
Posting is one of those tasks that expands to fill an evening. Handing it over is often worth more than the posts themselves.
The photos and clips we gather for social feed your website, your ads and your Google profile too.
This is a slow, steady channel and we’d rather set the expectation honestly: it usually supports your other marketing rather than replacing it. Within a month you’ll look established to anyone checking. Within three you’ll have a body of work to point at. If your goal is leads this quarter, ads will get you there faster — social is what makes the rest of your marketing more believable.
Usually fewer than you think. One done properly beats four done badly. Which one depends on your customers — we’ll tell you after the audit, and sometimes the answer is that your energy belongs on Google instead.
No. Plenty of accounts work on finished work, before-and-afters and process shots. If you’re comfortable on camera it usually performs better, but it’s not a requirement and we won’t push you.
No. Bought followers don’t buy anything, they wreck your engagement rate so real people see your posts less, and they’re obvious to anyone who looks. It’s a number that costs you money twice.
